John S. Green is a busy, Chicago-based writer, actor, and musician. His play THE LIQUID MOON won Chicago's Jeff and After Dark awards for Best New Work and was nominated for a Pulitzer. His plays DOUBTING THOMAS, TWILIGHT SERENADE (published by Dramatic Publishing), THE (W)HOLE THING, HAMBURGER TWINS, MR. HAPPY, CHOKE CHAIN, and others have been produced in theaters across America and in France. As a poet and lyricist, his collection ORDINARY LIGHT was published by Xlibris Publishing. As a screenwriter, one of his screenplays and TV pilots have been optioned, meaning that someday soon John may finally become immortal!
As a fiction writer, his story "The Me Zone" won the Guild Literary Complex: Leon Forrest Prose Award and was published by Chicago Quarterly Review. He won a Jeff Award for best actor playing George in OF MICE AND MEN. John is still acting, singing and playing his guitar. In his spare time he tries to get a good night's sleep.
